About the Course:

Designed for complete beginners, this course introduces the fundamentals of working with clay through pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Students will become familiar with the unique properties of clay while developing confidence in shaping, joining, and refining forms by hand.

Each class features demonstrations and guided projects that build essential handbuilding skills while encouraging individual creative exploration within the techniques being taught. Participants will create a series of functional and sculptural pieces while gaining the skills and confidence to continue working with clay independently.
